Selkirk Mountain Experience Week 2

Second week at Selkirk Mountain Experience I worked with Ruedi guiding a steep skiing week. Tons of sunshine, good snow, and good stability allowed us to ski some amazing lines. We spent four days at the Moloch Chalet skiing amongst some of the most impressive glaciers and peaks in the Selkirks. For info on a steep skiing week at SME go here. Selkirk Mountain Experience Week 1

I am spending three weeks guiding at the Durrand Glacier Chalet for Selkirk Mountain Experience. I am fortunate to work with one of the masters of ski guiding Ruedi Beglinger, lots to learn and lots to ski! Here are some photos from week 1, lots of snow not alot of sun. Great skiing in the trees with an international crew from Switzerland, Norway, Australia, and even a few Canadians.

Full Circle

Just finished a week of guiding at CMH Monashees in Mica Creek. Great week of skiing, but for me it was even better. I lived in Mica when I was very little and learned to ski at the local rope tow (now gone). This is where my passion for skiing began. To get to come back and guide a week of Heli skiing here really felt like I had come full circle. Thanks Mom and Dad for getting me out in the mountains! Breakfast of Champions

Spent the last two days at the Asulkan cabin. The skiing was nothing special but we managed to make up for it with lots of really good food. I think we drove the other residents of the hut crazy as we downed guinness and burgers for dinner. In a stroke of inspiration we came up with a great new drink, hot chocolate with coconut milk, mandatory on all future trips. But as always we saved the best for last......bacon and eggers for breakfast. Hey guys hows your porridge?

Selkirk Lodge

Just got out from an amazing week at Selkirk Lodge. I was working with Scott Davis who calls this part of the Selkirks home for most of the winter. We had a great group of guests that were super keen to ski as much as possible in the seven days they had up there.
